Pabuji Ki Phach
It is an amazing Rajasthani folk music that is performed in the commemoration of Pabuji, a 14th century folk hero of the Bhopa community. This music expresses the heroism, dauntless attitude, and struggle period of Pabuji in a musical style. The scross, or phad, which is around ten meters long, is used for the musical rendition. Villagers invite the Bhopas to perform in their localities during times of misfortune and sickness. Basically, the Bhopa sings the poetic ballad while playing the Ravan-hattha and is accompanied by his wife who holds the lamp and illumines specific portions of it.
